Terms of Service

These terms apply when you access or use NT Hazard Maps, including its website and mobile apps. By using the service, you agree to these terms.

Road-safety information

NT Hazard Maps provides community and official road information for assistance only. Reports, map data, location estimates, alerts and route guidance may be delayed, incomplete or inaccurate. Road and weather conditions can change quickly. Always obey road signs and laws, use your own judgment, and do not interact with the app while driving. Pull over safely before using it. The service is not an emergency service; call 000 in an emergency.

Accounts and acceptable use

Provide accurate account information and keep your sign-in credentials secure. You are responsible for activity under your account. Do not misuse the service, interfere with its operation, submit unlawful, deceptive or abusive content, or upload content that violates another person's rights.

Your content

You retain ownership of content you submit. You give NT Hazard Maps permission to host, process, display and use that content as needed to operate, improve and promote the road-safety service. Do not include sensitive personal information in a public report. Reports may be visible to other users; avoid uploading identifiable images or information about other people without permission.

Third-party services

Maps, place search, sign-in and other features may rely on third-party services. Their terms and availability are separate from NT Hazard Maps. We do not control third-party content or services.

Availability and changes

We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and may restrict access where these terms are breached or needed to protect users or the service. We aim to keep information available but do not guarantee uninterrupted operation or that every report will be verified.

Liability

To the extent permitted by law, NT Hazard Maps is provided without guarantees that the service or road information will be accurate, complete, available or suitable for a particular purpose. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or remedies that cannot be excluded under applicable Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on user reports, map information, route guidance, service interruptions or third-party services.

Privacy, account requests and contact

Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. To request account access, correction or deletion, or to ask about these terms, use Send feedback in the app at nthmaps.com.au.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms and publish the current version at this URL. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated terms.
